Cubs rout Reds Saturday
The Cubs erase a 4-1 defciit and went onto dump the Reds Saturday 11-4 in Mesa, Arizona. Juan Francisco belted two home runs and knocked in three runs to power the Reds to the early lead but the bullpen suffered a meltdown.
Bryan LaHair's three run homer in the fifth inning tied the game and Bobby Scales RBI single put Chicago ahead for good. They added three more runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh.
Homer Bailey started the game allowing a run on three hits over three innings. Jon Adkins was touched up for five runs on seven hits over one-plus innings in relief.
The Reds are 4-4 on the spring and return to Goodyear Sunday afternoon for a game against the White Sox. Gametime is 4 05pm with the action on 700 WLW.
